Glass Painting and Engraving

The material used in this craft is glass, which is a very ancient craft material that was practiced by our ancestors and passed down to their children, who created modern designs in line with reality and its new character. It is an artistic craft before it is a hereditary one. It is common to see glass panels depicting scenes and characters in the markets of Damascus and Aleppo, representing various themes such as Noah's Ark, the pilgrimage procession, the Buraq bird, folk tales, and Antar and Abla. The method of work involves covering the piece with paper adhesive, then drawing the desired design on the neck and walls of the glass piece, followed by the process of engraving the inscriptions and drawings with a scalpel. Finally, the remaining adhesive from the drawing is removed, leaving us with a unique, basic piece The colors are specific to glass, as they do not fade or wash off when the glass piece is washed with water, as they are colors and dyes specific to glass.
