Laurel Soap

Laurel soap has been made in Aleppo for over four thousand years and is one of the oldest traditional crafts in Syria.

Aleppine families are famous for their expertise in producing the finest soap, known for its many benefits for the body and hair due to its olive oil content.

This craft follows a traditional handmade method: olive oil is boiled with water and caustic soda, then the mixture is poured and left to partially dry before being cut into pieces and stamped with the factory seal for sale.

Laurel soap has become an important part of Syrian craft and industrial heritage, reflecting the skill and creativity of artisans throughout the ages.
